🥾🌿 Integrate komoot hiking routes in your event [Beta]
Introducing a new way to level up your outdoor events on Meetup: an integration with komoot, the go-to app for planning and sharing hiking tours and other outdoor adventures.
🗺️ Beautiful komoot previews on your event page
You can now add a komoot link to your event, and we’ll automatically render it as a clean, visual preview right on the event page. No more long links or screenshots—routes are easy to explore and look great at a glance.
✍️ How to add a link
You can include the komoot link:
- Directly in your event description, or
- In the new dedicated komoot section on the event page
🥾 About komoot
Richer details for your hikes and adventures
Komoot makes it easy to plan and share outdoor tours, complete with:
- Interactive maps
- Elevation profiles and difficulty levels
- Distance, duration, and surface type
- Points of interest like restaurants, viewpoints, and landmarks
🧪 Currently in beta
This feature is still in beta, and we’ll decide whether to keep and expand it based on how useful it is for organizers. Your feedback really matters—let us know what you think in the comments below this post.
💻🥾 Web-only and limited to Travel & Outdoor groups
For now, komoot previews are available on the Meetup web experience only. Support for the mobile apps will come with the full rollout of this feature.
Additionally, this integration is currently available only for groups in the Travel & Outdoor category. If we see strong interest from other types of groups, we may expand access in the future.
Give it a try on your next event, and tell us what you think!
